It’s been quite a while since our last update and as we all know much has happened and much has changed in the last 15 months or so. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined being hit by a global pandemic which has so totally changed the way we do business, and socially interact never mind the appalling tragedy that has ensued. We very much hope that you and yours have stayed safe and well and you’re looking forward to the end of restrictions and a return to some semblance of normality.

VMR has been fortunate from a business perspective and been able to keep functioning as normal, albeit with most staff home-based. As a result, we’ve supported our clients by continuing to offer the same level of service without disruption and in many cases have enhanced the offering to cover for changing work patterns. This has resulted in us being able to provide services which would normally be done in the office. For instance, those ad-hoc letters, mail merges etc which traditionally have been completed in-house are now being sent via our hybrid mail or ‘white text’ solutions both of which have seen a significant increase in use since the first lockdown.

Recent Developments at VMR

SMS

We have now a fully integrated SMS solution within the VMR platform to go with our paper, email and fax options. SMS jobs arrive via the same mechanisms, generate all the same reports and can be reviewed on the secure web portal just the same as as your existing conventional correspondence jobs.

Text messaging is a really quick and cost effective way of communicating with clients. It can be used effectively for alerts and reminders such as:

  • Due or overdue payments
  • Appointment reminders/changes
  • Extreme weather event notifications (local authorities)
  • Road closures (local authorities)
  • Bin collection changes (local authorities)
  • Notification of important documents in the post
Receiving an SMS

SMS offers all our standard benefits in terms of audit trail, security and reporting, but with a much improved confidence of receipt.

Did You Know?

Application Programming Interface (API)

We now offer an API giving direct access to our fully tracked, fully searchable electronic messaging system. The API lets you build near-instant email or SMS sending into your own in-house projects. Using the industry standard SOAP protocol, it supports a wide range of application and web programming languages.

Customer Satisfaction Survey Results 2021

Firstly, thank you to everyone who completed our annual survey which has delivered outstanding results. It’s very pleasing to receive confirmation that we really do keep customer service and satisfaction at the heart of everything we do. Once again, you’ve been effusive in your feedback for which we thank you. This year 99% of responses rated us as ‘Excellent’ or ‘Good’.
